Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GreenCube desktop application and related websites (together, "GreenCube"). GreenCube is operated by GreenCube AI ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Acceptance

By using GreenCube, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use GreenCube.

2. What GreenCube does

GreenCube is a local-first desktop AI assistant. It can use local models, local memory, live search, connected apps, and optional cloud model providers when you enable those features.

GreenCube may help draft content, summarize information, prepare emails, create calendar events, search connected services, or automate tasks. You are responsible for reviewing and approving outputs before relying on them or sending them to others.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree that you will:

• Use GreenCube only for lawful purposes.
• Keep your device, accounts, API keys, and credentials secure.
• Review AI-generated output before using it.
• Obtain any required rights or permissions for content, files, or accounts you connect to GreenCube.
• Not use GreenCube to harm others, violate privacy, send spam, or bypass security controls.

4. Connected services

If you connect third-party services such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, GitHub, Slack, Notion, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar providers, your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies.

GreenCube can perform actions through connected services only when enabled and authorized. You are responsible for actions taken through your connected accounts.

5. AI output

AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Do not rely on GreenCube as a substitute for professional advice, including legal, medical, financial, safety, or security advice.

6. Local data and backups

GreenCube stores important app data locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up data you want to keep and for deleting data you no longer want stored locally.

7. API keys and usage costs

If you provide API keys for cloud model providers or other services, you are responsible for charges, rate limits, account restrictions, and provider rules associated with those keys.

8. Updates and changes

We may update GreenCube or these Terms. Updates may add, change, or remove features. If you continue using GreenCube after changes become effective, you accept the updated Terms.

9. Ownership

GreenCube, including its app, website, text, design, code, and related materials, is owned by us or used with permission from others. These Terms let you use GreenCube; they do not transfer ownership of GreenCube to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using GreenCube at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to related online services if you violate these Terms, create risk, or use GreenCube unlawfully.

11. Disclaimers

GreenCube is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of GreenCube.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules.
